
Overview
Business Development Engineer experienced in power supply applications and sales with a focus on working with customers in the Server Storage, Networking, Industrial & Medical markets. The ideal candidate will work to identify and develop relationships with potential customers/clients & distributors; have the “hunter” sales mentality to chase and close business in the assigned territory while utilizing his/her technical skills to achieve results.
Responsibilities
Meet or exceed annual sales goals while remaining within expense budget guidelines.
Work in collaboration with our other divisions to manage manufacturer's representatives in the territory to ensure that sales goals are met.
Engage distribution partners to build strong branch level sales relations and work collaboratively to promote the power product line.
Visit accounts, resolve customer problems, and make customer presentations, as necessary.
Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth.
Provide market feedback on trends.
Suggest industry events that the company should be aware of, represent the company at those events.
Diligent keeping of leads, opportunities, and project status in company database (Salesforce.com).
Provide training to field sales personnel (reps and distributors) as appropriate.
Accurately forecast quarterly and annual sales goals.
Maximize profit margin while maintaining customer base.
Qualifications
5 – 10 years selling experience in power supply sales.
Electronics Engineering degree (desired).
Excellent understanding of target markets.
Working knowledge of sales tools Salesforce.com.
Well versed in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel & Word.
Travel: 30% - 40%
