Overview
Our client is a relatively young startup designing renewable energy storage solutions for the
telecommunications industry.
Responsibilities
Drives all engineering activities to execute projects.
Leads cross-functional teams in engineering and validation activities (electrical, mechanical, systems).
Defines project plans and schedule.
Collaborates with sales, supply management, product design, industrial design, field operations, and manufacturing groups.
Identifies and resolves conflicts.
Manages development budgets.
Qualifications
MS ME/EE/CE or equivalent knowledge of lithium-ion battery engineering design and processes.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant industry experience.
Extensive experience in product design for high volume manufacturing is required.
Experience with lithium-ion battery energy storage systems: BMS, battery module design, battery pack design.
Experience with regulatory standards (i.e., UL 1973, UL 9540, NFPA 855, GR-CORE, NFPA 70E).
Self-starter – must be willing/excited to design systems and processes from the ground up.
Possess excellent leadership & teamwork abilities.
Strong presentation and communication skills.
Possess functional expertise in mechanical design, embedded software, or BMS design.
