
Overview
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system design, analog and digital circuit design, battery operated, 15kW range power design, functional safety, possess good communication skills, and enjoy problem solving both independently and in team settings. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the development and launch of core product features. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.
Responsibilities
Project development from concept to production.
Select topologies to meet the product requirement, design power electronics circuitry and control circuitry, select power switches, magnetic components, active and passive components used in the UPS’.
Understand thermal management of cooling power devices in a power supply and work with mechanical engineer to ensure thermal stability and margin.
Responsible for meeting the schedule and material cost target and help team members to meet the overall cost requirement of the project.
Lead the PWB layout.
Debug and test prototypes in lab to validate design specification.
Work with other groups and departments to complete the projects, including qualification, safety approval, and EMI testing, etc., and bring the design into manufacturing.
Qualifications
BSEE with 5+ years of related experience in power system design.
Or MSEE with 3+ years of related experience in UPS design.
Knowledge of Mil/Space, Energy and Automotive requirements helpful
