EV PLM Documentation Specialist

Overview

Our client offers the highest quality charging solutions, power management modules and backup power

products in the market today. The EV/EE PLM Documentation Specialist is responsible for accurately and

efficiently managing product data into the PLM system and ensuring the integrity and completeness of

the information. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and a strong

understanding of SAP software and proprietary PLM software. The team member will link engineering

assets to purchasing and production assets to ensure PLM databases are complete and up to date.

Responsibilities

  • Product Data Management:

    • Ownership of data into the PLM system with precision and speed.

    • Verify and correct data discrepancies to maintain accuracy.

    • Manage engineering assets (drawing numbers & BOMs) and drawing revision process (ECR & ECN).


  • Training and Development:

    • Stay informed about Pii PLM (i.e. iPower) best practices.

    • Assist with SAP and Pii PLM (i.e. iPower) integration.

    • Provide and maintain training for new employees on PLM data entry procedures.

    • Create documentation procedures in accordance with ISO standards.


  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with multiple departments to consolidate and refine product data.

    • Communicate effectively with team members to address any data-related issues.

    • Merge engineering resources with purchasing and production resources when needed.


  • Quality Assurance:

    • Audit databases and identify missing or inaccurate information and rectify.

    • Implement quality control measures to enhance future data accuracy.


  • Documentation & Procedures:

    • Generate reports as needed for management review.

    • Follow established iPower procedures and guidelines for data management.

    • Package engineering documentation for marketing, purchasing, and production teams.


  • Problem Resolution:

    • Identify and resolve issues related to data management and database maintenance.

    • Escalate complex problems to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor of Science and related work experience; additional education or certification in

PLM or SAP is a plus.
