
Overview
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system design, analog and digital circuit design, battery operated, power design, functional safety, possess good communication skills, and enjoy problem solving both independently and in team settings. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the development and launch of core product features. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.
Responsibilities
Expert in embedded hardware and software/firmware.
Key contributor during the conceptual stage for new R&D projects, including prototyping phase.
Mentor and help develop the level of knowhow and general competence in the R&D organization.
Qualifications
BSEE with 5+ years of related experience in power system design.
PhD or MSEE with 3+ years of related experience in design with focus on Power Electronics.
3+ years combined hands-on relevant experience in the development of embedded control hardware and software/firmware in power converters.
Expertise in control theory, and experience with modeling, analysis and simulation tools for power electronics and digital control applications for power converters.
2+ years hands-one experience designing mixed signal control boards for power converters including FPGA development – ASIC a plus.
Good understanding of rapid prototyping tools and algorithms for real-time control of power converters – MatLAB/Simulink and hardware-in-loop (HIL) a plus.
Demonstrate competency in DFM, DFT, reliability analysis, PWB layout and EMC design years developing microcontroller firmware for DSP and control.
Demonstrated innovation and technical leadership as evidence by publications and patents.
Experience in industrial protocols a plus.
