
Overview
Our client offers the highest quality charging solutions, power management modules and backup power
products in the market today. As a Field Service Technician, you will work with our client’s’ internal RMA
Lab, and Managers to support RMA replication, root cause, and corrective action on standard customer
RMA’s. You will ensure that the customers’ requests are met in a timely manner. You will assist in an
engineering capacity with Quality Control/Quality Assurance, which analyzes and reports on production
reliability failures and identifies the root cause of failures to develop and recommend solutions.
Responsibilities
Draft designs in SolidWorks, with a focus on system level design for electrical assemblies
Create draft work instructions for production with a focus on design for manufacturability
Build and own full and accurate Bill of Materials with supporting documentation
Lead initial prototype builds for new products, incorporating lessons learned into product design
Creating assembly drawings and diagrams
Spatial and weight analysis
Be an active participant in the Engineering documentation needs, reviewing, correcting red lines, adding notes technical call outs and dimensioning
Support in electrical drawings and other product design activities
Collaborate with electrical, hardware and other mechanical engineers
Be organized, detail oriented, a team player, open minded and willing to go the extra mile to get projects completed on time and on budget.
Qualifications
BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering
2 Years of SolidWorks work experience.
Must demonstrate the ability to design in SolidWorks.
Must demonstrate an understanding of SolidWorks to navigate through the different tools in the software
Create and develop draft work instructions
CNC and or manual machining (Milling preferred).
Experience in a Research and Development setting.
Familiar with PDM works.
Familiar with of GD&T
Electrical knowledge
Familiarity in electrical equipment manufacturing and fabrication
