Sales Manager – Automotive (DCDC Converters)

Overview

In this position you will facilitate new customer finding and manage current accounts. You will support to achieve the sales target with North American customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support OEM and Tier 1 Automotive DCDC Customers Customer’s such as Tesla, Lucid Motors, Ford, Chrysler, ectara …


  • Maintain existing customer relationships.


  • Win new customers by coordinating commercial and technical development activities between the customer and our client.


  • Build strong relationship with customers and appointed manufacturer’s sales reps, leveraging the relationship to receive customer future product development plan and RFQ opportunities.


  • Primary interface to customer on commercial issues or urgent topics with demonstrated ability to deliver value-based proposal to C-level management decision.


  • Participate annual sales planning activities, define/review the sales plan with TW HQ.


  • Participate annual Strategic plan preparation with sales& market data with TW HQ.


  • Regular reporting of sales activities to US operation head and TW HQ.


  • Weekly Sales Meeting with TPE Sales Team (counterpart) – existing customer status reports.


  • Bi-Weekly New Business Development Meeting with TPE Sales/Marketing Team – customer status report.


  • Monthly Market trend/customer database preparation & Discussion with TPE Sales/Marketing team.


  • Monthly Sales Overall Review with TPE Sales Team (RFQ Database/success rate)

Qualifications

  • MBA; MS; BS in Electrical Engineering preferred but degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics or equivalent will be considered.


  • Highly relevant sales leadership experiences and track record.


  • Minimum10 years multichannel system level technical sales in Automotive Electronics.


  • Minimum 5 years major OEMs or Tier 1 in Automotive Industry, knowledge of OEM organizational structure and methodology.


  • Experience selling DCDC Converters (400Vdc / 12Vdc) for automotive applications preferred.


  • Relationships with Tesla, Lucid Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Rivian, ectara a plus but not required.


  • Significant experience of working in a cross-functional, international, and complex environment.


  • Ability to manage multiple projects and activities, detailed tracking/reporting/managing capabilities.


  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and multitasking skills to provide superior customer service which will include off hours communications with Asia as needed.


  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate complex technology to the customer.


  • Bilingual English/Mandarin a plus; not required
