Overview

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Outside Sales Manager - EV DC Fast Charger, to join

their team. As an integral part of our sales department, you will be responsible for driving the

growth of our electric vehicle (EV) DC fast charger solutions in the market. The successful

candidate will be primarily focused on generating new business opportunities and building strong

relationships with potential customers. This role requires a deep understanding of the EV

industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential customers in various industries, including fleet operators, automotive dealerships, municipalities, and private organizations, who can benefit from EV DC fast charging solutions.


  • Actively prospecting and generating leads through cold calling, networking, attending industry events, and leveraging existing contacts and partnerships.


  • Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies related to EV charging infrastructure.


  • Deliver persuasive sales presentations and demonstrations to key decision-makers, showcasing the benefits and value of our EV DC fast charger solutions.


  • Collaborate with the internal sales and technical teams to develop customized proposals and solutions that address the unique needs and requirements of potential customers.


  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms of agreements with customers, ensuring a mutually beneficial outcome while meeting company objectives.


Travel: 40% (as needed)


  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and progress.


  • Provide post-sales support to customers, addressing any inquiries, concerns, or technical issues they may have.


  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to provide feedback and insights from the field, contributing to the continuous improvement of our products and services.


  • Stay informed about government incentives, regulations, and industry standards related to EV charging infrastructure, ensuring compliance, and leveraging opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

  • BA/MBA; MS/BSEE or a technical degree in a related field is preferred; Not essential.


  • Proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably in the EV or renewable energy industry.


  • In-depth knowledge of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, including EV DC fast charger technologies, standards, and best practices.


  • Strong networking and prospecting skills with the ability to identify and target potential customers effectively.


  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.


  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at various organizational levels.


  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for driving business growth and meeting sales targets.


  • Familiarity with CRM software and proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite.


  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.


  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
