Overview
To be successful in this role, candidates must be very efficient managing multiple projects, be very responsive for sudden support demands, and very delicate with customer relations.
Responsibilities
Provide full technical support for Sales Engineers on their qualified design projects.
Review full customer’s designs and assist with all technical issues.
Debugging and solving all customer’s technical problems with basic functionality, thermals, EMI, and efficiency.
Build, test, and document new prototypes for customers utilizing the company’s product.
Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks to keep up with customer’s support.
Qualifications
BSEE required; MSEE a plus
Minimum 8 yrs. working experience with AC/DC SMPS
Experience in power electronics topologies (Buck, Flyback, LLC, and PFC converters preferably)
Magnetic hands-on design and building experience
Experience in applications and/or design of end equipment using control ICs & power semiconductors
Strong analytical and laboratory skills including EMC equipment
Working knowledge of EMI and Safety standards
It is desired that the candidate resides in the Detroit, MI area
