  • What is the company’s overall leadership style?

  • What are the biggest concerns about the team/department/company?

  • Is there room for advancement?

  • How often are people promoted?

  • What is the growth rate of “ABC Company”?

  • What are the company’s values and how do they impact the work here?

  • If relocation is required, ask what the area offers?

  • What are the next steps in the interviewing process?

  • When can I expect to hear back from you?


Listen carefully and take notes, you might have follow-up questions. Be sure to ask the follow-up questions if you are not clear with the answer you are given.


QUESTIONS TO AVOID


  • What is the compensation? (Base salary, bonus, stock options, benefits etcetera). This will be discussed if you are the individual chosen for the position and should be negotiated by/with the recruiter.

  • When am I eligible for a raise?

  • May I work from home (remote or hybrid)? (The possibility should have been established prior to your interview).

  • How much PTO (personal time off) do I get?

  • Do you offer “Flex-Time”?

  • What is the grace period for being late.
